Professional Slaughter Beach TPO Roofing Repair & Replacement
Is your commercial flat roof leaking? Or maybe your aging flat roof is breaking down from wear and tear. If you need a commercial roof repair or roof replacement, TPO roofs are a fantastic option as a single-ply membrane. TPO, or thermoplastic polyolefin is one of the most popular commercial roofing materials in the entire country.
Our local recommended Slaughter Beach commercial roofing contractors have years of experience with TPO roofing.
Advantages of a TPO Roof
There are many reasons why TPO roofs are one of the most popular systems in the United States over other commercial roofs.
Affordability: For the money, TPO roofing is one of the best values for your budget. If comparing to a commercial material like PVC, TPO is generally a more cost-effective or budget friendly option.
Ease of Installation: TPO compared to other commercial roofing materials is also easier to install. Since it has fewer seams, the sheets of membranes weigh less and are wider, it allows for a quicker and more seamless roof installation process.
Lifespan: While some commercial flat roofs do not handle the sun’s UV rays well and crack from the blistering sun, TPO holds up well to the sun’s rays. By reflecting UV rays, a TPO roof can avoid aging and sun-related damage. A quality TPO roof can last from 10 to 20 years depending on the product you select & the warranty (on average about 15-years).
Energy Efficient: A TPO roof is made up of reflective material from the construct of its membranes. As mentioned above in the lifespan benefit, a reflective roof helps to lower your cooling costs by keeping out the sun’s rays.
Aesthetics: In the past, most commercial roofing systems had one option which was a black roof. A TPO roof provides you with options. There are several colors such as tan, white, gray and of course black.
It is important to maintain your TPO roof after having it installed. It is a great idea to have yearly maintenance check-ups and tune-ups to keep your TPO roof in quality shape. A commercial roof is an expensive investment, and you want to extend your roof’s life for as long as you can before having to have your roof replaced. Slaughter Beach is a town in Sussex County, Delaware, United States. The population was 207 at the 2010 census, an increase of 4.5% over the past decade. It is part of the Salisbury, Maryland-Delaware Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Slaughter Beach was founded in 1681 and incorporated in 1931. There are at least three stories of where the town’s name came from: The first is that it was named after William Slaughter, a local postmaster in the mid-19th century. The second story claims “the name came from the horseshoe crabs that wash up on shore and die each year. They come near shore to shallow water to lay their eggs and the low tide strands them leaving them to die, thus the “slaughter.”” The third story, and the most contested source of the town’s name, stems from a local legend which tells of a man named Brabant who, in the mid-18th century, “slaughtered” several indigenous inhabitants by cannon in order to prevent an impending massacre. In 2018, PETA wrote to the mayor and followed up with a press release requesting the town change its name to “Sanctuary Beach” and offered to help pay for new signage if the name was adopted.
